On Thursday evening, January 17, Upsilon Nu inducted 33 pledges into full membership in Psi Omega. Prior to the ceremony, these new initiates were honored at a pot luck dinner hosted by the membership. The chapter will hold another initiation ceremony at the end of Spring semester to induct those who could not attend the Jan. 17 event as well as any new, certified pledges we may elect to membership.
A special thanks to President Ashley Hoban who secured the meeting place and to Ryan Dee, Meredith Schulman, Daren Cox, Genevieve Allen, Ethan Zucker, James Hulwi, and Breanna Raner who coordinated the event and performed the Ritual.
The Second Annual Psi Omega Bowling Tournament will be held at Sunset Lanes, 4451 E. Sunset Road, Henderson on Saturday, January 26, registration beginning ag 12 noon.
Select your teams of 5 and come join in the fun. This event is open to all UNLV SDM Faculty, Staff, and Students. Space is limited, so the first 20 teams with paid registratoin will compete for prizes and their name on the trophy.
The $20/person ($100/team) will get 2 games, shoe rental, food and beverage. There will also be raffle tickets available for a number of prizes.
Registrations forms have been e-mailed and will be available at registrations on Monday, January 14, High Noon, at the round tables in Building B.
Nicole reported today on the Psi Omega Food Drive that was held prior to Thanksgiving holidays:
“I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday and a relaxing long weekend. I wanted to thank everyone for their participation in the food drive last week. We collected more than 100 items for St. Vincent’s Shelter for their Thanksgiving weekend. All in all I think that the food drive was a great success. Thanks again for your willingness to help out those in need. Cheers!!! “
